Great location
Fort Hill is an historic House Museum on the campus of Clemson University. The antebellum house was home of Vice-President John C. Calhoun and of his son-in-law, Thomas G. Clemson. The fourteen room Dwelling is completely furnished with authentic artifacts. Outbuildings include Calhoun’s office library, a restored kitchen and a spring house. Displays interpret the enslaved African-Americans at Fort Hill. Historic markers are at the slave quarter site, cemetery, and former fields.
